Michael Kevin Lallana's 6 Tips for Effective Social Media Marketing
Mila Venture Group CEO, Michael Kevin Lallana, believes that, with the right strategies, any business can improve the effectiveness of their social media marketing campaign.

According to a recent eMarketer report, "Worldwide Social Network Users: 2013 Forecast and Comparative Estimates," an estimated one fourth of the world population will use social networks in 2013.

The number of social network users worldwide is expected to reach 1.73 billion people this year, and Michael Kevin Lallana believes it will be a mistake to ignore this growing trend.

Also, here are some recent interesting social media trends you should be aware of:

Recent data has shown that social media is no longer "the game of the young." It has been revealed that increase in social media usage by the 55 64 years old agegroup has increased by 100% for Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
Google+ gets 1.2 billion monthly visits, Facebook enjoys 809 million monthly visits, while Twitter enjoys 416 million monthly visits
Even though it has one of the lowest internet penetration rates in the world, the Asia Pacific region dominates the social media landscape
Active usage of major social platforms is growing worldwide, and mobile is a key driver.
As you can see from the above key stats, social media is experiencing massive growth across all agegroups and regions, and ignoring it would mean ignoring a large percentage of your customers.

Michael Kevin Lallana's Tips for Getting Results from Social Media

So, in the midst of all this, how do you ensure your social media efforts don't go to waste? Here are 6 tips by social media expert, Michael Kevin Lallana:

1. Determine Your Goals: Social media is just so huge today that many companies forget that it is just another core part of their business; to many people, using social media is as simple as creating an account on Facebook and Twitter, and then posting their most recent updates.

Michael Kevin Lallana emphasizes the importance of having a goal that fuels your social media strategy before you get started with social media; what do you want to get by using social media? How soon do you want to experience these results? These are key questions you should ask yourself.

2. Determine the Kind of Content You Want to Post: While you want to be active on social media, it is important to realize that not just anything goes.

Michael Kevin Lallana says the kind of content you post on a social media network should be influenced by the audience of the network; to put things in perspective, LinkedIn, for example, is a business-centric site, so Mike suggests sharing your company achievements, news, and business articles there. Twitter, on the other hand, is all about brevity, so the best approach will be to make quick announcements or share links to relevant articles.

3. Determine the Master of Your Campaign: Michael Kevin Lallana says one of the most important things to determine when trying to get results from social media is who will be handling your social media campaign.

Just like other aspects of your business, you should have a social media department with a leader; Michael says there should be at least one employee in your company that handles social media.

4. Determine the Frequency of Your Updates: A lot of factors will go into how often you update your social media profiles, but this doesn't mean frequency should be ignored.

Michael Kevin Lallana recommends posting on your social media accounts between two to six times daily, and that you should make sure your posts are spaced out evenly.

5. Socialize with Your Customers: The aim of social media is to help you better reach your customers, and as a result not all social media sites are worth your consideration.

According to Michael, if nobody in your target audience is using a particular social media site, using that site will only be a waste of time.

6. Know What Works, and Replicate it: While experts could give advice, you'll be the one to realize what works. Instead of blindly following expert advice, Michael Kevin Lallana says it is more important to monitor your activities to see what gives you results, and to do more of it.
